Road lowering necessitates closures and detours for several days
Due to road subsidence, Schlossgasse in Gräfenhausen will be completely closed from Monday, June 22nd, to Friday, June 26th, 2026. The affected area is near house number 27.
As the city of Weiterstadt announces, the existing one-way street regulation between the junctions of Mittelstraße and Darmstädter Landstraße will be temporarily lifted during the construction work.
Public transport services will be diverted
A detour is in place for public transport. During the closure, buses will be routed via Ostendstraße, Arheilger Weg and Darmstädter Landstraße.
A signposted diversion route is also provided for private vehicles.
Garbage collection not affected
According to the city of Weiterstadt, the complete road closure will not affect garbage collection. Waste containers will continue to be emptied as scheduled.
The city asks all road users for their understanding and to observe the changed traffic management during the construction work.
