The autumn market and street food festival will occupy the market square on two weekends in September
The Groß-Gerau weekly market will not take place on the market square on two Saturdays in September. Due to the autumn market and the Street Food Festival, it will be relocated to Darmstädter Straße and Elisabethenstraße on September 12th and 19th, 2026
The first postponement affects Saturday, September 12th. From Friday, September 11th, to Monday, September 14th, the traditional autumn market with stalls and rides will take place in the market square.
Street Food Festival the following weekend
A week later, the market square will be used for the Street Food Festival . The event runs from Friday, September 18th, to Sunday, September 20th. Therefore, the weekly market will also relocate to Darmstädter Straße and Elisabethenstraße on Saturday, September 19th
At the Street Food Festival, food trucks and stalls offer a variety of dishes. According to the organizers, the selection ranges from burgers to vegan and vegetarian options, as well as desserts. A children's play area is provided, and live music from street performers is also planned.
The Street Food Festival starts on Friday at 4 pm. On Saturday it is open from 12 pm to 11 pm, and on Sunday from 12 pm to 8 pm .
