More than 500 euros raised for charity at the first Hirtengrundhalle Open
The first Hirtengrundhalle Open darts tournament in Eberstadt successfully combined sport, community, and social engagement. The international tournament raised over €500 for the clown doctors who regularly visit children's hospitals in Darmstadt.
The event was initiated by Gregorius Wroblewski. He was supported by Stefan Melk, the handball players of TG 07 Eberstadt, Darmstädter Sportstätten GmbH, and hall manager Stefan. Together they ensured the smooth running of the tournament in the Hirtengrundhalle.

36 participants at the start
Under the direction of tournament director Joe Schnabel, a total of 36 players participated. The field of participants was divided into six groups.
After some exciting matches, Patrick Sturm from Malchen ultimately prevailed. The aspiring teacher secured the tournament victory and was awarded the winner's trophy.
Support for the clown doctors
The organizers were particularly pleased with the fundraising result. More than 500 euros can be transferred to the clown doctors, who bring joy and variety to the young patients at the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital in Darmstadt with their visits.
Under the motto "Laughter helps heal", the clown doctors have been supporting children and families in difficult situations for many years.

To be continued
Following the successful launch, the organizers have drawn a positive conclusion. The combination of sporting competition, a good atmosphere, and social engagement was well received by the participants.
There are already plans for a new edition of the Hirtengrundhallen-Open next year.
