The tram museum in Darmstadt-Kranichstein invites you to an event on June 14th
Visitors can embark on a journey through the history of public transport on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Darmstadt-Kranichstein. The Working Group for Historic HEAG Vehicles, together with HEAG mobilo, will open the exhibition hall for historic trams at Marburger Straße 16.
From 10:30 am to 5:30 pm, there is an opportunity to view trams from seven decades of Darmstadt's transport history.
A journey through tram history
The exhibition showcases numerous historic vehicles that have shaped Darmstadt's cityscape for many years. Classic car enthusiasts, technology buffs, and families will gain insights into the development of public transport in this city of science.
The exhibition hall of the ARGE Historic HEAG Vehicles is part of the Darmstadt-Kranichstein Railway World and is one of the important locations for the preservation of regional transport history.
Arrival by bus and train is possible
Those wishing to travel by public transport can easily reach the museum via tram lines 4 and 8. The exhibition hall is within walking distance of the "Waldspirale" and "Nordbahnhof" stops.
Admission is free. Food and drinks will be available on site.
Further opening dates planned
Those who missed the June opening will have further opportunities to visit this year. The exhibition will reopen on September 19th and 20th, as well as on November 1st, 2026.
