Following the cancellation of the foreign residents' advisory council election, seven expert residents are being sought for the new municipal body
The town of Riedstadt, associated with Büchner, is seeking seven knowledgeable residents to form a new integration commission. This body is necessary because no election for the Foreign Residents' Advisory Council could be held during the 2026 municipal elections. Although a list of candidates was submitted for the Foreign Residents' Advisory Council election, the required minimum of seven was not reached, with only three candidates.
The integration commission is to deal with matters concerning the foreign population in Riedstadt, and in particular to advise the city council and the city administration.
Seven knowledgeable residents sought
The integration commission consists of the mayor as chairman, members of the city council, and expert residents. The latter are elected by the city council.
Seven knowledgeable residents are being sought for the new Riedstadt council . According to the city, a balanced representation of women and men is desired. Furthermore, the diversity of the foreign population will be taken into account in the council's composition.
According to the city, foreign nationals, naturalized citizens, and people with dual citizenship are eligible to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have had their primary residence in Riedstadt for at least three months.
At least four meetings per year
The integration commission is to meet at least four times a year. Once a year, it informs the city council and the city administration about its work.
