The program for the Griesheim Onion Market ranges from rock and jazz to an open stage
The Iwwerzwersch cultural association will be supporting the Griesheim Onion Market from September 25th to 28th, 2026, with four days of live music and other events. The program includes Smoerrebroed, Black Alley Birds, TUSH, the Jazz Fraggles, and Stachel, among others. On Monday, musicians and other artists can perform at the open stage.
The event kicks off on Friday, September 25th, at 8 pm with the band Smoerrebroed playing rock classics.
The music program begins on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with the Black Alley Birds. The new band, featuring Tommy Bergerstock, plays rock 'n' roll. TUSH takes the stage at 9:30 p.m.
Music and children's program on Sunday
The Onion Market Sunday begins at 12:30 pm with Jazz Fraggles at the cultural center. At 3 pm, a children's program with Mister Kunterbunt follows, featuring magic, sing-alongs, and balloon animal making.
Stachel will be on stage from 5 pm and will musically conclude the Sunday program
To conclude the Onion Market, Iwwerzwersch is hosting an open mic night on Monday, September 28th, starting at 7 pm . Musicians and other artists can register in advance with the cultural association. Due to setup times, acoustic performances are planned.
International dishes and Griesheimer Förtchen
The cultural association is once again collaborating with the foreigners' advisory council on the food offerings. Refugees who now live in Griesheim will be serving dishes from various countries of origin on Saturday from 2 pm and on Sunday from noon
At the stand of the cultural association, there are also pancakes with jam and boiled potatoes with arugula and quark dip, optionally with smoked salmon.
During the onion market, the cultural association also sells tickets for its event with Bees denäwe. Klaus Lohr and Franz Offenbecher will be performing "Hessian Nonsense & Unplugged Music" at the cultural center in November.
