Topic: Bodily experience in the digitalized world
The Protestant City Academy of Darmstadt invites you to the concluding lecture of its series "Paradises: Places of Longing, Temptations, and the Art of Living on Earth" on Tuesday, May 5th. The event will take place at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt and begins at 6:30 p.m.
A philosophical perspective on digital lifeworlds
The final lecture will focus on the topic of "Physical Presence: Embodied Experience in the Digitalized World." The speaker will be Thomas Fuchs, Professor of Philosophical Foundations of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy from Heidelberg.
The lecture explores how human perception and physical experience are changing in an increasingly digital world.
Accompanying program for the exhibition “Paradaidha”
The series accompanies the exhibition "Paradaidha" by the Dutch artist Robert Zandvliet at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt. The concluding lecture will bring the exhibition's supporting program to a close.
The event will be moderated by Dr. Franz Grubauer, Director of the Evangelical City Academy Darmstadt, and by co-director Dr. Anna Scholz.
