Concert evening with jazz and chansons at Agora am Ostbahnhof
Marianne et les Garçons will perform French chansons and jazz at Agora-Kultur near the Ostbahnhof train station in Darmstadt on Friday, June 26, 2026. The concert starts at 8 p.m.
The focus of the evening is singer Marianne Djaida Henry-Perret, who is also known to many Darmstadt residents as the former owner of the Belleville restaurant. Together with her band, she will present chansons and jazz pieces by artists such as Juliette Gréco, Jacques Dutronc, Serge Gainsbourg, and Claude Nougaro.
The singer blends French chanson with personal stories and humorous anecdotes about music. What began as spontaneous performances in restaurants has evolved over the years into a permanent live band.
The current lineup of "Les Garçons" includes pianist and accordionist Michael Erhard, guitarist Dieter Kociemba, and double bassist Wolfgang Ritter. The musicians have been active in the Darmstadt music scene for many years and have performed at numerous concerts and festivals.
The group is known, among other things, for performances in Paris, Frankfurt, at the Heinerfest, at wine festivals on the Moselle, as well as in the Jagdhofkeller and in the Restaurant Belleville.
