Data transfer blocking, self-disclosure and online registration certificate available since October
The City of Griesheim's Digital Citizen Service has offered three new services since October: applying for a data transfer block, self-disclosure, and online registration certificates. However, deregistering a secondary residence is no longer possible via the portal.
A Federal ID number (BundID) is required for use. Identification is carried out using a national identity card with activated online identification function, an electronic residence permit, or an eID card for EU citizens.
The online registration certificate is available directly as a PDF file and is free of charge. However, it does not include confirmation from the residents' registration office and is not accepted everywhere. Simple and extended registration certificates are sent by post and cost ten euros each. The other new services are free of charge.
Anyone wishing to activate the online ID function or assign a new PIN can contact the residents' registration office. If a PIN has been forgotten, a PIN reset letter can also be ordered.
