Clubs, the THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief) and restaurants will be present on the market square on September 26th – at the same time the music school will open its doors
The town of Groß-Gerau invites everyone to its last market breakfast of the year on Saturday, September 26, 2026 , in the market square. From 9:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m., several clubs and organizations will be presenting themselves with food, drinks, and information. The event times are aligned with the weekly market taking place at the same time.
The "Nestflüchter" daycare center is offering onion tart and new wine. The German Shepherd Dog Club will have coffee and cake, as well as treats and toys for dogs. The Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) will be there with waffles and crêpes and will also have an emergency vehicle on display.

Grisu Eventgastronomie, owned by Sascha Wolter, is also participating in the market breakfast. They will be offering snacks, wine, and sparkling wine at their stand.
The market breakfast was planned by the city as a series of events from April to September. On a total of six Saturdays, clubs, institutions and catering businesses were to have the opportunity to present themselves in the market square and generate income for their work.
After events in April and May, the June event had to be cancelled due to the heat. According to the city, no clubs could be found to run stalls in July and August. However, several participants are now back for the final event in September.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau also sees the event series as an opportunity to draw attention to the Groß-Gerau weekly market. "It's wonderful that so many people are attending the market breakfast this time," says Rüddenklau.
Music school invites you to its open day
Alongside the market breakfast, the Friends of the Groß-Gerau Music School are hosting an open house. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children, teenagers, and adults can get to know and try out various instruments at the Old District Court, Darmstädter Straße 31.
