Around 7500 runners will start in Darmstadt
The Merck company run in Darmstadt has set a new participation record this year. According to the organizers, around 7,500 recreational athletes from more than 300 companies are expected to take part on May 12, 2026.
Four running routes through the Darmstadt forest
The 13th annual Merck Corporate Run offers a choice of four different routes: 2.5, 3.5, 5, and 10 kilometers. The shortest route is especially suitable for novice runners and walkers.
The start and finish are located at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. The races lead through the wooded areas surrounding the stadium. The first race starts at 5:45 p.m.
Merck provides the largest running group
With around 750 participants, Merck once again fielded the largest group of runners. Employees from the Darmstadt clinics, Döhler GmbH, the city of Darmstadt, and DAW SE.
Support for local sports projects
Part of the entry fees will again be used to support local projects and organizations. Among those supported are the International School Games organized by the Darmstadt Sports Office, the Darmstadt Running Club, the Darmstadt Velocipede Club, the ID team of SV Darmstadt 98, and the Darmstadt Workshops.
Closure at Böllenfalltorweg
Due to the company run, the Böllenfalltorweg in the area behind the stadium will be closed on the day of the event from 5:30 pm to about 9 pm.
