“Fun on the Street” brings music, family activities and regionality to Reinheim
The Reinheim Market will take place on June 13th and 14th, 2026, for the 27th time. Under the motto "Fun on the Street," the town center will once again be transformed into a large festival and promenade area with live music, family activities, rides, culinary delights, and numerous regional businesses. The event is organized by the Reinheim Business Association.
This year, the Reinheim market presents itself with a new concept and a more compact event area. The festival grounds extend from the railway crossing along Darmstädter Straße to the Westring, incorporating the shopping arcade. The adjustments are due to new requirements for safety and evacuation plans. At the same time, the opportunity was taken to further develop the market's overall concept.
“Around 60 exhibitors are providing a diverse range of products and services this year. We have consciously focused on quality and further developed the market,” explains Uli Diehl, Chairman of the Reinheim Business Association. “The new route allows us to concentrate the activities more effectively and create a more vibrant and engaging atmosphere.”
Official opening on Saturday
The Reinheim market starts on Saturday, June 13th, at 2 pm. The official opening is scheduled for 4 pm. On Sunday, the market opens at noon. While Sunday's market closes at 8 pm, Saturday evening continues until 1 am.
Live music on two stages
A key component of the Reinheim market remains the music program on two stages. On the ENTEGA stage, the show band "Lifestyle" and the SMART Band from Bad Vilbel, among others, will provide live music with well-known hits, pop, rock, funk, and current chart songs.
Visitors can also expect a diverse program on the ALLIANZ stage. The lineup includes the "Schlawutzis Trommler," the "Lieblingsband," the "Drumlets," and the "Sunshine Music Band." The stage program will be complemented by performances from various Reinheim clubs and associations.
Large kids' area and classic fairground atmosphere
In 2026, a special focus will be placed on family activities. A new addition is a large kids' area on the meadow at the corner of Darmstädter Straße and Am Schwimmbad. There, young visitors will find, among other things, a large trampoline, the mobile play unit from the children's and youth services, activities offered by the OAMC, and a swing boat.
In addition, bumper cars and a large Ferris wheel create a classic fairground atmosphere along the entire festival mile.
Culinary delights and regional businesses
The Reinheim market will once again offer a diverse culinary experience. The gastronomic spectrum ranges from regional specialties to international offerings. At the same time, numerous regional businesses will present their products and services. Car and company presentations will also be part of the program again.
Market as a meeting place for the region
For the organizers, the Reinheim Market is much more than just a town festival. "Events like this are no longer a given. They thrive on the commitment of many people – and on the fact that everyone isn't just looking out for themselves, but is willing to make their own unique contribution," emphasizes Uli Diehl. Places like the Reinheim Market create space for encounters and shared experiences.
Reinheim's mayor, Manuel Feick, also emphasized the cooperation of all involved: "The new framework conditions demanded a great deal of commitment and flexibility from everyone involved. Together, we have succeeded in making the Reinheim market attractive and future-proof, even under changed requirements."
Town twinning with Licata celebrates anniversary
The festive weekend also includes the 25th anniversary of the town twinning with the Italian city of Licata. Delegations from Italy and other partner cities are expected at the Reinheim market.
Starting Friday afternoon, motorists should expect restrictions. Access to the EDEKA supermarket will again be exclusively via Bergstraße and regulated by traffic lights.
