The youth office and the Auszeit association invite children and young people to excursions
During the last week of the Hessian summer holidays, the youth office of the Büchner town of Riedstadt and the association Auszeit e. V. are jointly organizing the holiday program "Summer Fun". From August 3rd to 6th, 2026, four varied activity days are planned for children and young people aged nine to 16.
The individual excursions can be booked either as a complete package or separately. A minimum age of eleven years applies to visiting the climbing park. The number of participants is limited. In case of very bad weather, individual excursions may be cancelled.
Swimming pool visit in Mörfelden
The event kicks off on Monday, August 3rd, with a trip to the Mörfelden swimming pool. Slides, a diving tower, a whitewater channel and other attractions await the participants.
The meeting point is at 10 a.m. at Goddelau train station; the return is planned for around 5 p.m. Participation costs five euros.
Summer toboggan run and railbike tour in the Odenwald
On Tuesday, August 4th, we're going to the Odenwald. The program includes a ride on the summer toboggan run, a railbike tour, and a visit to the "alla hopp!" adventure playground.
The meeting point is at 11 a.m. in the parking lot behind the Riedstadt town hall in Goddelau. Return is expected around 7 p.m. The participation fee is 15 euros.
Climbing adventure in Darmstadt
On Wednesday, August 5th, a visit to the Darmstadt climbing forest is on the agenda. The children and teenagers can look forward to an exciting day with sporting challenges at dizzying heights.
Travel will be by minibus. The meeting point is at 11:00 AM at the Erfelden Youth Center, Neugasse 36. Return is scheduled for 5:00 PM. Participation costs €15. This activity is for children and young people aged 11 and up.
Trip to Mainz
The summer fun program concludes on Thursday, August 6th, with a trip to Mainz. There, participants can first play frisbee golf or enjoy the water playground in Volkspark. Afterwards, a visit to the Rhine and the city center is on the agenda.
The meeting point is at 11 a.m. in the parking lot behind the Riedstadt town hall in Goddelau. Return is expected around 5:15 p.m. The participation fee is five euros.
