GHS class presents projects for marketplace, traffic and leisure at the town hall
As the press office of the city of Griesheim reports, students from a 7th grade class of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-School presented their ideas for future urban development at the town hall on Monday, May 18th.
The young people presented various proposals that could make life in Griesheim more attractive. Among the projects presented were an intergenerational café, photovoltaic systems on the market square, new bicycle streets, and a soccer cage in the town center.
Ideas for the future of Griesheim
The students developed their proposals in class, exploring topics such as sustainability, mobility, and leisure activities. The goal was to create concrete ideas for the further development of their hometown.
“The students presented us with exciting ideas and demonstrated their active, creative, and solution-oriented engagement with their hometown,” explained Kai Schütz, Head of the Urban Development Department. He also thanked the class and their political science teacher, Mr. Scheibel.
