Market stalls are moving to side streets due to the spring market
In Groß-Gerau, the weekly market will be relocated on several dates in May. This is due to the spring market, which will take place in the market square from May 8th to 17th, 2026.
Three market days affected
On the following days, the weekly market will be relocated to adjacent streets:
- Saturday, May 9
- Wednesday, May 13
- Saturday, May 16, 2026
The market stalls are located on Elisabethenstrasse and Darmstädter Strasse on these days.
No stopping during market hours
Additional traffic regulations will be in effect on the affected days during market hours. A no-stopping zone will be in place between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. between the Old District Court and Elisabethenstraße, as well as along Elisabethenstraße up to Walther-Rathenau-Straße.
The mother-and-child parking space on the market square is also affected during this period.
Regular opening hours will remain in place
The opening hours of the weekly market will not change due to the relocation. The market will continue to be open from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
