Citizens discuss mobility and consideration for others
A total of 33 citizens came together for the city's second citizens' meeting on April 29th at the Restaurant Dalmacija in Gräfenhausen.
Transportation as a central theme
Mayor Niklas Gehnich opened the event and introduced current topics from the administration into the open discussion.
The main focus of the evening was the topic of traffic. The participants described their experiences and concerns from different perspectives – as drivers, cyclists, or pedestrians.
An appeal for consideration and responsibility
Mayor Gehnich emphasized the importance of mutual consideration, social responsibility, and civic courage. He stated that respectful interaction is a crucial foundation for harmonious coexistence in the city.
Future events are planned to be barrier-free
The city also pointed out that the event space in the restaurant was not wheelchair accessible due to a step. For future community meetings, more accessible venues will be used.
The citizens' meeting will continue to take place regularly. Meetings are planned for the last Wednesday of each month in different neighborhoods and venues.
