District Administrator Thomas Will raises the flag at the district office for Diversity Day
To mark the 14th German Diversity Day, Thomas Will raised the flag for diversity in front of the Groß-Gerau district office on Tuesday. This year's nationwide day of action is themed "We celebrate diversity".
“Diversity is a strength – for our society, for our working world and for our district,” emphasized District Administrator Thomas Will.
The district administration focuses on diversity and participation
As the district administration reports, people of different origins, languages, religions, age groups, genders, sexual identities and abilities shape the daily working life in the district of Groß-Gerau.
“Different perspectives, experiences, and realities enrich our coexistence. It is more important than ever to work together for respect, equal opportunities, and a discrimination-free society,” the district administrator continued.
According to its own statements, the administration is committed to a diversity-oriented and discrimination-sensitive working culture through various projects. These include, among other things, an employee directory reflecting linguistic diversity, a volunteer interpreter pool, and networks and initiatives for participation, anti-discrimination, and social cohesion.
