A parade will cause traffic disruptions in the town center on August 9th
Due to the church fair parade, there will be road closures and traffic disruptions in Darmstadt-Eberstadt on Sunday, August 9, 2026. The Eberstadt Association of Clubs and the Eberstadt District Administration are issuing this warning .
The town center will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists are asked to avoid Eberstadt as much as possible during the parade. According to the organizers, delays and longer waiting times are to be expected.
Changed relocation route
The parade starts at Nussbaumallee and leads via Ringstraße, Heinrich-Delp-Straße, Hagenstraße, Reuterallee and Walther-Rathenau-Straße.
Due to construction work, the parade route will not run through Zerninstraße this year . Instead, the parade will proceed directly along Pfungstädter Straße to the Hilße-Eck intersection .
Visitors and residents should take the closures into account when planning their arrival and departure.
