BUND and the adult education center invite you to a family event on June 14th
How does a honeybee live? What role does it play for humans and nature? Answers to these and many other questions will be provided on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at a joint event organized by BUND and the Darmstadt Adult Education Center.
From 3 p.m. onwards, beekeeper Stefan Fuchs invites you to visit his apiary in the Bürgerpark. The event is aimed at the whole family and offers fascinating insights into the world of honeybees.
An insight into the work of a beekeeper
Participants will learn interesting facts about the life of honeybees, their importance to nature, and the close connection between humans and bees. Furthermore, beekeeper Stefan Fuchs will provide insights into the keeping and care of bee colonies.
Visitors can observe the animals on site and learn more about the work of a beekeeper.
Honey tasting planned
In addition to information about honeybees, visitors can also sample honey. The event offers the opportunity to get to know honey directly from the beekeeper and learn more about its production.
The meeting point is at 3 pm at the tram stop "Eissporthalle" at Bürgerpark Nord in Alsfelder Straße.
Participation is free of charge.
