Event at HUB31 promotes entrepreneurship and innovation
At HUB31, 70 female students developed their own business ideas during Girls' Day under the motto "I will be the boss." The event is one of the largest Girls' Day programs in southern Hesse.
Female entrepreneurs mentor the next generation
The event was organized by the Darmstadt Rhine Main Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the FRAUEN unternehmen initiative, and HUB31. Participants were supported by female entrepreneurs from the region who provided insights into their path to self-employment.
Creative ideas and practical insights
In workshops, the students developed their own start-up concepts and then presented them. The ideas included, among other things, a multifunctional piece of furniture and a sports shirt with temperature regulation.
Another practical program item was a demonstration of circuit board manufacturing by a technology company, in which the participants could actively participate.

Motivation for entrepreneurial paths
The aim of the event is to inspire more girls to think entrepreneurially and become self-employed. The background to this is that only a proportion of business start-ups in the region are founded by women.
The organizers see formats like this as an important opportunity to generate interest early on and to highlight perspectives.
