City fire inspectors and youth leaders take on responsibility
The city of Griesheim has announced that the newly elected officers of the volunteer fire department have been officially appointed to their positions. The appointments took place on April 15, 2026, during a ceremony.
City fire inspectors confirmed in office
Sven Schwiderek, Sebastian Feuerbach, and Ali Emre Aslantürk have been appointed city fire inspectors. They were elected by the fire department members in March and are now officially taking over the leadership of the fire department.
The city fire inspector bears overall responsibility for the fire department and is supported by his deputies in organizational tasks and in operational operations.
Focus on youth development
Tim Müllen and Lucas Hufnagel were also confirmed as the city's youth fire brigade leaders. They were elected in February and will be responsible for youth work going forward. Their task is to inspire and train young people for the fire brigade.
The importance of voluntary work was emphasized
Among those attending the event were Mayor Geza Krebs-Wetzl and Sascha Buchwald, Head of the Department of Public Order. They praised the commitment of the volunteers and emphasized the importance of strong leadership within the fire department.
The newly appointed leaders announced that they would tackle the upcoming challenges with commitment and motivation.
