Through traffic in Groß-Gerau will be diverted from August 10th to 22nd
Helwigstraße in Groß-Gerau will be closed to through traffic from Monday, August 10th , until approximately Saturday, August 22nd, 2026. This is due to sewer rehabilitation work over a length of approximately 40 meters
The affected section is Helwigstraße between Adolf-Göbel-Straße and Schöneckenstraße / Schöneckenplatz. Through traffic in this area is not possible during the construction work.
Traffic will be diverted via Frankfurter Straße, Sudetenstraße , and Jakob-Urban-Straße to Helwigstraße and in the opposite direction. To ensure the diversion route remains clear at all times, a no-stopping zone will be in effect on Jakob-Urban-Straße for the entire duration of the construction work.
August -Bebel-Straße will still be accessible via Schöneckenstraße and Helwigstraße.
Waste disposal will also be ensured for residents. During the renovation work, the city will set up a collection point for garbage cans at the corner of Helwigstraße and Adolf-Göbel-Straße
