Waldstraße closed from August 10th to October 16th – Several bus stops will be out of service
Passengers on bus route DG should expect disruptions starting Monday, August 10th. Due to a complete closure of Waldstraße in Biebesheim, the route will be until approximately Friday, October 16th, 2026.
The buses travel between the roundabouts Gernsheimer Straße/Heidelberger Straße and Waldstraße/Albert-Einstein-Straße via Justus-von-Liebig-Straße.
Due to the detour, all bus stops along the main road through Biebesheim will be closed. This includes the stops "Gernsheimer Straße", "Nibelungenstraße", "Museum", "Stockstädter Straße" and the regular stop "Bahnhof Ostseite".
As a replacement, a temporary bus stop will be set up in Justus-von-Liebig-Straße, south of the Waldstraße/Albert-Einstein-Straße roundabout.
There is also a change in the Hahn district: For journeys towards Gernsheim train station, the "Hirtenstraße". Instead, the "Schulstraße" served.
The local public transport company of the Groß-Gerau district (LNVG) recommends that passengers along the closed main road use bus lines 44 (Griesheim – Goddelau – Stockstadt – Biebesheim – Gernsheim) and 45 (Griesheim – Wolfskehlen – Goddelau – Stockstadt – Biebesheim – Gernsheim) during the construction work.
The construction timetable for line DG is available for download on the LNVG website under "Local Mobility / Timetables" . The changes have also been incorporated into the digital timetable information systems.
