Asphalt work is complete – the road will be closed again for remaining work
Kranichsteiner Straße in Darmstadt is now open to traffic in both directions. According to the city, the resurfacing work was completed this week. After temporary markings were applied, the previous traffic restrictions were lifted.
The reopening is not yet final. Further work remains to be done on Kranichsteiner Straße. According to the city, the affected area will have to be closed again. The announcement does not yet specify a date for this.
Marking initially only provisional
In recent weeks, traffic in the construction area was only possible in one lane. This led to traffic jams and longer travel times, especially during peak hours.
"Until then, Kranichsteiner Straße will remain open in both directions," explained Head of Transport Paul Georg Wandrey. He thanked road users for their patience during the construction work so far.
Until the start of the remaining necessary work, Kranichsteiner Straße can therefore be used again without the previous single-lane traffic flow.
