The Senior Citizens' Office invites you to a free event on April 29th
The Griesheim Senior Citizens' Office, in cooperation with the Darmstadt-Dieburg Adult Education Center, invites you to an information session on the topic of "aging pets." The presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 3 p.m. in Meeting Room C of the Town Hall.
Tips for keeping and caring for the elderly
The speaker is Dr. Christa Wilczek, animal welfare officer for the Darmstadt-Dieburg district and official veterinarian. In her presentation, she will explain what is important when keeping, caring for, and providing medical care to older dogs and cats.
As pets age, they often experience health problems. This presentation will show how pet owners can help maintain their animals' quality of life for as long as possible through appropriate nutrition, exercise, and preventative care.
Opportunity for questions and discussion
Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask individual questions. The event is aimed particularly at older people who keep pets or are interested in the topic.
Registration required
Participation is free of charge, but registration is requested. This can be done through the adult education center (VHS) or the senior citizens' office. The contact person is the senior citizens' representative, Stefanie Ondruch, stefanie_ondruch@griesheim.de – registration is also possible through the VHS at vhs.ladadi.de .
