The German Life Saving Association (DLRG) will take over supervision on selected days during the 2026 bathing season
The City of Darmstadt is providing information about lifeguard services at the Prinz von Hessen mine during the 2026 bathing season. The Darmstadt branch of the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG) will again be present on several designated days this year, providing volunteer lifeguard services.
On the scheduled dates, the rescue teams will be on duty at the Prinz von Hessen mine between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
These dates are planned
Lifeguard services are offered on the following days:
14.06., 21.06., 28.06., 19.07.,
July 26, August 2, August 9, August 30 and September 13, 2026.
No supervision outside of scheduled times
The city points out that there is no lifeguard supervision at the Prinz von Hessen mine outside of these designated days.
The dates will also be clearly displayed on the information boards on site.
Anyone visiting the Prinz von Hessen mine should therefore be aware that bathing outside of the specified supervision days is at their own risk.
