Hessen Mobil announces nighttime repairs
There will be restrictions on the B 426 during the night of Friday, May 8th, to Saturday, May 9th, 2026. Hessen Mobil has announced that the Lohberg Tunnel will be completely closed for repair work.
Closure at night
The Lohberg Tunnel will be closed to traffic from Friday evening at 8 p.m. until Saturday morning at 5 a.m. This is due to work being carried out on two damaged manhole covers.
Detour set up
During the closure, traffic will be diverted via a signposted detour. The route will be guided by the existing variable message signs on site.
Background of the measure
The damage to the manhole covers was discovered in mid-April during routine maintenance. For safety reasons, the speed limit in the direction of Reinheim was subsequently reduced to 50 km/h.
The upcoming work is intended to completely repair the damage.
