Büchnerstadt aims to defend its title as the most bicycle-friendly municipality
The town of Riedstadt is calling for participation in this year's City Cycling campaign. From May 3rd to 23rd, 2026, citizens are invited to cycle as many kilometers as possible and thus demonstrate their commitment to sustainable mobility.
Participation is possible for everyone
Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or belongs to a club in Riedstadt can participate. Registration is online via the Stadtradeln platform in the Groß-Gerau district.
Participants can join an existing team or create their own. Joining is also possible during the campaign period, and kilometers already driven can be added retroactively.
Title defense in sight
Riedstadt has been among the most successful municipalities in the competition for years and aims to secure the title of most bicycle-friendly municipality in the Groß-Gerau district once again. The challenge cup has remained in the town of Büchner continuously since its introduction in 2021.
The local council is also aiming for another top ranking. Furthermore, the Martin Niemöller School in particular has achieved excellent results in the school cycling competition several times in recent years.
