Angelika Lemser takes over from Klaus Vetter after 14 years
The TonArt Alsbach eV choir in Alsbach-Hähnlein has a new musical director. Angelika Lemser is taking over the choir's direction, succeeding Klaus Vetter, who led the choir for over 14 years.
Farewell after many years of collaboration
At the beginning of the year, Klaus Vetter announced his intention to step down due to time constraints. The news was received with regret by the choir, but there was also widespread understanding for his decision. The board immediately began searching for a successor.
Quick decision on new management
Several candidates presented themselves at rehearsals. In an extraordinary general meeting, the choir members finally chose Angelika Lemser from Griesheim.
She studied singing at the Darmstadt Academy of Music and has extensive experience in conducting various choirs in the region.
First performances already planned
Following Klaus Vetter's official farewell at the end of February, the first rehearsal under the new director took place at the beginning of March. Angelika Lemser will also accompany the choir on a planned choir trip to Augsburg.
A joint performance with the Augsburg choir "Tonträger" is scheduled there for May 9th.
Further dates throughout the year
Additional performances are planned for later in the year. These include, among others, the traditional "Staircase Singing" on June 14th in front of the district administration building in Dieburg.
A larger concert in the Sonnensaal in Alsbach is planned for spring 2027. More information: www.chor-tonart-alsbach.de
