The city of Griesheim points out long processing times
Griesheim recommends that citizens apply for identity cards and passports in good time before the Hessian summer holidays.
Processing can take up to eight weeks
With regard to the summer holidays from June 29th to August 7th, the residents' registration office points out that the processing time for new identity documents can currently take up to eight weeks.
Citizens should therefore make an appointment at the residents' registration office well in advance. Appointments can be booked online via the city's website.
Personal appearance required
Applicants must appear in person at the town hall to submit their application. This also applies to children.
You will also need:
- a digital photograph
- the previous identification documents
Digital passport photos can also be taken directly at the residents' registration office if required.
