Hessen Mobil removes trees that pose a traffic hazard after storm damage
Hessen Mobil will be carrying out short-term tree and shrub removal work starting Friday, June 12, 2026, within the area of responsibility of the Groß-Gerau road maintenance depot. Several federal, state, and district roads in the districts of Groß-Gerau and Darmstadt-Dieburg are affected.
The reason for these measures is damage caused by the storms of the past few weeks. During road inspections, numerous dead or hazardous trees were found, which must be removed for traffic safety reasons.
Work is being carried out on several sections of road
The work is scheduled to take a total of three days and will affect the following routes:
- B 43 between Rüsselsheim and Ginsheim-Gustavsburg
- B 43 between Rüsselsheim and Raunheim
- B 3 between Eberstadt and Darmstadt
- K 158 between Dornheim and Wolfskehlen
- L 3303 between Griesheim and Pfungstadt
- B 486 between Mörfelden and Rüsselsheim
- B 44 between Groß-Gerau and Mörfelden
Traffic may be briefly stopped
Tree felling will take place under partial road closures or with a narrowed lane. For safety reasons, short-term full closures or brief traffic stops may occur while individual trees are being felled.
Hessen Mobil asks road users for their understanding regarding the necessary measures and for increased attention in the affected areas.
