Book Dwarfs and Picture Book Cinema at the Media Ship invite you in August
The Weiterstadt city library is once again offering two story time events for children in August. Both the "Book Dwarfs" program for the youngest children and the picture book cinema aim to introduce children to stories and books in a playful way.
Book Dwarfs for children up to three years old
The "Book Dwarfs" will kick things off on Tuesday, August 11th , from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Media Ship. This program is for children up to three years old, accompanied by an adult.
Short stories, board books, and a Kamishibai storytelling theater are used to foster imagination and language development. There are also opportunities for singing, playing, and exploring together.
The story "My Little Potty". Participation is free, but registration is required.
Picture book cinema for children aged four and up
On Thursday, August 13th, at 3 pm a picture book cinema for children aged four and up, accompanied by an adult. The illustrations from a picture book will be shown in large format while the story is read aloud.
The program includes "Ibbe and Knut – A Seal Goes on Holiday". Afterwards, children can paint, do crafts, read, or browse in the library. This activity is also free and takes place regularly once a month.
