HEAG mobilo invites people to make their own announcements on World Children's Day – selected recordings will be played in vehicles for six months
Children can become bus announcers themselves on World Children's Day in Darmstadt . HEAG mobilo is participating on Sunday, September 20, 2026 , with an interactive event at Friedensplatz and Marktplatz. From 11:30 a.m., children can create and record their own announcements in an electric bus.
This allows users to record familiar announcements from buses and trains, as well as create their own texts. Examples include instructions like "Please step back from the open door," but also freely formulated announcements.
Electric bus becomes a mobile recording studio
For this event, an electric bus will be temporarily converted into a mobile recording studio. There, children can make a professional sound recording and record a special announcement.
Following World Children's Day, HEAG mobilo plans to select some of the recordings. These will then be played on the company's buses and trains for six months
“Protecting children’s rights also means giving children a voice and listening to them,” explains HEAG-mobilo Managing Director Arne Rath. With this initiative, the company aims to encourage children’s participation and simultaneously give them the opportunity to explore their creativity.
