44 children and adults came to the Drop In (inclusive) – open meetings for families take place twice a week
The Drop In (inclusive) baby group in Pfungstadt recorded a record number of visitors at the beginning of September, according to the children's and youth services. Forty-four children and adults attended the open meeting on September 2nd. Among the visitors was a family spanning four generations.
The program is organized by Karoline Linder-Dittmann, Matthias Hirt, and new employee Corinna Bischof. The baby group is aimed at families with children aged zero to three years.
Sharing, playing and crafting
At the meeting on September 2nd, everyone sang together, with Matthias Hirt accompanying the songs on the guitar. Following the song "A Little Snake," the children then made snakes out of colorful cardboard.
In addition, there was time for playing, reading aloud, and for parents to connect. This regular program aims to give families the opportunity to talk to each other and share experiences about daily life with young children.
A special feature of this meeting was the presence of four generations of one family: great-grandfather Heinz, grandmother Johanna, mother Marie and daughter Thea all participated together.
Meetings twice a week
The open baby group meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. Participation is free and registration is not required.
The program is supported by the Karl Kübel Foundation for Children and Families and by the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sport, Health and Care.
