Private garden owners open their gates to interested parties
The adult education center in the Groß-Gerau district, together with the "Climate Active in Groß-Gerau" initiative, invites you to two special garden tours. Under the motto "Visiting Gardens," interested individuals will gain insights into naturally designed private gardens and sustainable garden concepts.
Kick-off in Groß-Gerau
The series begins on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with a guided tour in Groß-Gerau. Amateur gardener Sybille Hillesheim will present her eco-friendly garden. In addition to a short presentation, participants can experience firsthand how diverse planting creates habitats for insects, birds, and other animals.
Second lead in Trebur
Another event will take place in Trebur on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Under the title "Intelligently lazy and sustainable gardening," Anja Baier will present her natural garden. The garden combines ornamental and useful plants with deliberately natural areas and demonstrates how sustainable gardening can be achieved with minimal effort.
Participation and registration
Both tours are limited to small groups, and a waiting list is maintained. The exact meeting points will be provided after registration. The participation fee is €5 per tour.
Registrations are possible via the district adult education center – by email, telephone or online.
