Support for primary and school children in Mörfelden sought from the new school year
The Protestant Center for Intercultural Education (EZIB) in Mörfelden is seeking volunteers to provide homework help for the 2026/27 school year . They are looking for people who would like to regularly accompany and support children in grades 1 through 6 with their learning
The homework help program has been running since 1975 and has become a firmly established institution in Mörfelden. Children whose native language is not German, in particular, receive support there with their learning and integration into everyday school life.
Regular support is desired
The children are cared for in small groups. The organizers are hoping for volunteers who can spare approximately two hours each on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays . Regular attendance is important, as a trusting relationship often develops between the children and the caregivers.
Recognition and compensation for expenses
In addition to the gratitude of the children and their families, the volunteers receive an allowance as part of the volunteer service stipend. Furthermore, regular meetings are held where the team exchanges ideas and develops joint strategies for further developing the program.
Those interested can contact Dagmar Gendera , the director of the Protestant Center for Intercultural Education . She can be reached by phone at +49 6105 274700 or by email at Dagmar.Gendera@ekhn.de .
