Construction work and crane operations will lead to restrictions in May and June
In Weiterstadt, two temporary full road closures will occur in the city area in May and June 2026. The affected roads are Finkenweg and Hölderlinstraße in the Schneppenhausen district.
Finkenweg closed due to water pipe work
Due to the replacement of a water main, Finkenweg will be completely closed in the section from house number 6 to the corner of Wiesenstraße 72 (Riedbahn). The work will begin on May 4, 2026, and is expected to last until June 12, 2026.
Waste and recycling collection will continue to be organized during the construction work: Waste can still be placed in front of houses. The construction company will transport it to a collection point at the corner of Wiesenstraße and Finkenweg.
Hölderlinstrasse temporarily completely closed
Another restriction affects Hölderlinstrasse in Schneppenhausen. A full road closure will be in effect there on May 11, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at house number 10. This is due to crane work.
Road users are asked to observe the closures and plan for appropriate detours.
