Road closures and bus diversions from June 8th in Darmstadt
As the city of Darmstadt has announced, roadworks will begin on Monday, June 8th, on Pallaswiesenstraße. The affected section is between Pfnorstraße and the street "An der Windmühle".
As part of the 2026 road rehabilitation program, the drainage channel on the south side and parts of the asphalt surface course will be renewed. The work is expected to take approximately three weeks.
Diversion for car traffic
During the construction work, the lane leading into the city will be closed. Traffic will be diverted via Pfnorstraße and Gräfenhäuser Straße.
Several bus lines operated by DADINA and HEAG mobilo be using the diversion route towards the city center from Monday, June 8th, until approximately Friday, June 26th.
The bus stop will be relocated
The "Pfnorstraße" bus stop (inbound) will be temporarily relocated to Pfnorstraße 1A during the construction period. Further information will be provided via notices from the transport companies.
Restrictions for residents
During the construction work, access to properties may be temporarily blocked or restricted. According to the city administration, the affected residents have already been informed.
The total cost of the project amounts to approximately 140,000 euros.
