Around 120 participants meet at Oberwiesensee – previous board members bid farewell
Around 120 rural women from the Groß-Gerau district gathered on August 15th for the summer festival of the district rural women's association. The event, held at the Anglerstubb restaurant on Oberwiesensee lake in Trebur, focused on socializing, bidding farewell to outgoing board members, and enjoying a musical program.
The board of the Groß-Gerau district rural women's association had invited members from across the district to the meeting. In the beer garden at Oberwiesensee, the participants had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with rural women from other local associations.
Outgoing board members honored
A key focus of the summer festival was the farewell to women who had left the previous board. They received certificates and gifts in recognition of their voluntary work.
District Chairwoman Christina Friedrich acknowledged the commitment of the former board members and thanked them for the time and work they had invested in the association over the past years.
Guitar music and dialect songs
The guitar groups Nord and Süd provided the musical program . Their performances were complemented by songs in the local dialect.
The summer festival thus served not only as a social meeting of the rural women from the Groß-Gerau district, but also to recognize voluntary commitment within the association.
