Rally, Easter egg hunt and turntable ladder cause excitement
The children's and youth fire brigade of the volunteer fire department in Seeheim-Jugenheim organized a varied program for its young members around Easter. Several activities provided opportunities for exercise, team spirit, and special experiences.
Rally as preparation for the badge
The last training session of the children's fire brigade included a rally through Seeheim. At various stations, the children had to complete tasks and answer questions. The activity also served as preparation for the children's fire brigade badge test, the "Paw.".
With great dedication and teamwork, the participants mastered the course. To conclude, refreshments and a group photo awaited them at the decorated Easter fountain.
Easter egg hunt with the support of the community
Another highlight took place on March 22nd. At the initiative of Mayor Birgit Kannegießer, a large Easter egg hunt was organized together with the fire department.
Children and parents searched the fire station grounds and vehicles for hidden eggs and sweets. The activity was supervised by the staff and was met with great enthusiasm.

At the end of the event, the children were able to enjoy a special experience: Anyone who wanted to could ride up in the turntable ladder and experience the view over Seeheim in sunny weather.
Voluntary work with strong support for young talent
The volunteer fire department in Seeheim-Jugenheim is on call around the clock. In addition to firefighting, their duties include technical assistance, storm response, and supporting the ambulance service.
Around 80 firefighters handle approximately 150 calls annually. In addition to the active firefighting unit, the fire department includes a children's and youth fire brigade, a marching band, and a section for honorary and retired members. Their work is supported by a fire brigade association.
