Registrations are now open – favorite recipes should bring people together at one table
For the fourth time, the Evangelical Church of Jugenheim and the municipality of Seeheim-Jugenheim are hosting the "Unity Soup" event. On October 3rd, German Unity Day, numerous homemade soups will once again be available for tasting and enjoyment in the church park on Lindenstrasse.
The event aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds and with different life stories. A shared meal is intended to foster encounters and encourage conversations between people from East and West, as well as from near and far.
More than 30 soups last year
Last year's Unity Soup event featured more than 30 different soups to try – from regional classics to international specialties.
“We are delighted that many soup cooks will once again be inspired by the Unity Soup and serve their favorite soup to others,” say Pastor Miriam Fleischhacker and Sabine Milewski from the Seeheim-Jugenheim municipal administration.
We are looking for amateur cooks who would like to contribute to bringing people together on German Unity Day and celebrating the world in a bowlful by preparing a homemade soup for about ten people. Registrations are now open at:
