Youth services and clubs organize numerous activities for children and young people
As the Griesheim city press office reports, the youth services department, together with several clubs, has put together a diverse summer holiday program for children and teenagers. The program for the upcoming summer holidays ranges from excursions and sports to creative activities, music, and fire brigade workshops.
Trip to Phantasialand and youth exchange in France
A day trip to Phantasialand is already planned for the start of the school holidays on June 29th. Young people aged twelve and over can participate.
The youth exchange with Griesheim's twin town Bar-le-Duc will have an international focus. From July 3rd to 9th, participants can expect a joint program in Griesheim and France with a wide range of leisure activities and opportunities to connect.
Sports, Lego and Ninja courses
The sporting activities continue on July 1st: Children and young people between ten and 14 years old can take part in a bike trip to NinjaSkillz in Weiterstadt and try out various ninja courses there under the guidance of a trainer.
Things get creative on July 8th at the German Architecture Museum. At a Lego construction site, children between eight and twelve years old can design their own buildings. Afterwards, they can head to the "Main Games" on the banks of the Main River.
Clubs complement the holiday program
Several clubs from Griesheim are also participating in the holiday program with their own activities.
TSV Non Stop Griesheim eV is organizing dance workshop weeks with hip hop, K-pop and ballet from June 29th to July 3rd and from July 13th to 17th.
The Darmstadt and Griesheim Beekeeping Association invites you to an insight into the world of bees on July 10th and 17th. Children and young people can experience bee colonies up close while wearing protective clothing and learn more about honey production.
Things will also get sporty at the bowling section of TuS Griesheim. From July 15th to 17th, games and exercises centered around the team sport of bowling are on the program.
Fire brigade and music to mark the end of the holidays
The Griesheim youth fire brigade is offering workshops on firefighting equipment and emergency vehicles on July 18th and August 1st. Children and teenagers between the ages of ten and sixteen are welcome to participate.
The holiday program concludes musically on August 6th with a taster session of the Griesheim Brass Band. Everyone aged ten and over who brings their own instrument is welcome.
Children's circus for young artists
The holiday program is complemented by the children's circus "Hallöchen". Children aged six and up can try out various circus disciplines from June 29th to July 3rd. A performance for families and relatives will take place at the end.
