The new VW ID.3 is primarily intended for use in urban traffic and aims to reduce emissions
The city of Reinheim has expanded its fleet with a new electric vehicle. With the purchase of a VW ID.3, the administration aims to take another step towards sustainable and climate-friendly mobility. The vehicle will primarily be used for short official trips within the city limits. With a stated range of approximately 380 kilometers, the city believes it meets the requirements of daily administrative operations.
Mayor Manuel Feick sees the purchase as a further contribution to municipal climate protection. The city aims to promote the use of lower-emission vehicles within its own operations.
Electric vehicle for daily service
The new VW ID.3 will primarily be used for short trips in urban traffic. According to the city administration, longer business trips are only planned in exceptional cases.
The stated range of approximately 380 kilometers offers ample leeway. Especially for regular trips within the city, an electric vehicle can demonstrate its advantages, as no direct exhaust emissions are produced during driving.
With the new company car, Reinheim aims to further advance the transition to more environmentally friendly mobility solutions within the administration.
Mayor Feick emphasizes responsibility for climate protection
Mayor Manuel Feick welcomes the decision in favor of the electric vehicle and points to the exemplary role of the city administration.
“By investing in an electric vehicle, we are taking responsibility for sustainable and future-oriented mobility in our city administration. Climate protection also begins with everyday decisions in municipal operations,” explains Feick.
The purchase is therefore part of the effort to reduce emissions in municipal operations and to make greater use of modern drive technologies.
Sustainability begins in everyday community life
The city of Reinheim sees the new company car as another building block towards a more environmentally friendly administration.
Especially for regular journeys within the city, the electric vehicle should help to reduce local emissions of pollutants.
By choosing the VW ID.3, the city is opting for a drive technology that meets the requirements of daily operations and at the same time supports municipal climate protection.
