Defective household appliances can be inspected and, if possible, repaired on September 19th at Sensfelderweg
The EAD's Environmental and Family Day feature a Repair Café on Saturday, September 19, 2026. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors to the EAD premises at Sensfelderweg 33 in Darmstadt can have their defective devices checked by volunteer repair experts and, if possible, repaired.
The Repair Café is located in the workshop of the municipal services department (EAD). No prior registration is required. The last device drop-off is at 2p.m.
These devices can be brought along
Acceptable items include smaller household and everyday objects such as lamps, irons, hand mixers and toys, as well as consumer electronics.
TV sets, smartphones and fully automatic coffee machines are not accepted.
While the equipment is being checked or repaired, visitors can take advantage of the other activities offered at the Environment and Family Day on the EAD premises.
Repair Café is looking for more volunteers
The Repair Café is also looking for people who would like to volunteer as repair helpers in the future. According to the organizers, people with knowledge of electronics are particularly needed.
